HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER: LADY TIGERS FALL TO NORTHUMBERLAND CHRISTIAN (2025-09-13)

NORTHUMBERLAND — North Penn-Mansfield traveled to take on unbeaten Northumberland Christian on Saturday and fell 6-3 despite a Brooke Wilcox hat trick.

NCS took a 2-0 lead into the break but the Lady Tigers stormed back in the second half and tied the match up at 2-all on a pair of Wilcox goals less than two minutes apart, both assisted on by Laurel Morgan. 

Midway through the second half, Northumberland scored two unanswered goals to retake the lead at 4-2. Wilcox completed her hat trick at the 66:29 mark on a direct kick before NCS added two more goals to pull away and secure the win. 

Northumberland had a 13-9 advantage in shots-on-goal and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks. 

Mansfield keeper Avalon Rew made seven saves in net. 

The Tigers (2-4) return to action Tuesday with an NTL match-up at Williamson.
