
TIOGA JUNCTION — The North Penn-Mansfield defense and keeper Avalon Rew held Williamson off the scoreboard and Brooke Wilcox provided the game’s lone goal as the Lady Tigers edged the host Lady Warriors 1-0 here Tuesday.
With under six minutes left in the game, Wilcox broke through the Williamson defense and converted a pass from Adalyne Yungwirth into the game-winner.
Williamson out shot the Lady Tigers 9-7 with Rew collecting the clean sheet with nine saves. Warrior keeper Leeann Kessing stopped six shots.
Mansfield improves to 3-4 on the season with the win while Williamson falls to 4-5.
Both teams are scheduled to return to play on Thursday as Williamson visits Towanda and the Tigers travel to Troy.
