Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Brooke Wilcox scored seven goals .. including the 50th of her career .. as the North Penn-Mansfield girls’ soccer team routed visiting CMVT, 10-0.
Wilcox scored five first half goals and Adalyne Yungwirth scored off a Wilcox corner kick to give the Lady Tigers a 6-0 lead at the break.
Wilcox opened the second half with an unassisted goal .. her career 50th .. followed by scores by Pearl Worthington and Colette Frey. With less than seven minutes remaining, Wilcox netted her ‘haul-trick’ goal to provide the final.
Lakyn Messner and Scarlett Graham had two assists each while Molly Hanawalt, Iris Irwin, Wilcox, Yungwirth and Leila Garverick had one helper each.
North Penn-Mansfield out shot CMVT 22-2 and had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks. Keeper Avalon Rew made two saves for her third clean sheet of the season.
The Lady Tigers (5-6) return to action Thursday at Athens.
