NTL GOLF: HANDFUL OF HORNETS QUALIFY FOR DISTRICTS AT TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS (2025-10-01)

MONTGOMERY, Pa. — Syler Pietrzyk shot a 4-over 76 at the District 4 Team Golf Championships on Wednesday at White Deer, leading Wellsboro to a fifth-place finish on the day.

Pietrzyk’s 76 was third-low overall on the day as the Hornets had a four-player aggregate score of 339. NTL-foe Towanda took the title with a 325.

Mason Brill carded an 87, good for 20th place, while Case Butler, Ben Jackson and Sam Jackson all shot 88’s, qualifying each for next Saturday’s District 4 Individual Championships. Golfers had to shoot an 88 or better Wednesday to qualify for the individual rounds.

Logan Johnson shot a 91 for the Hornets while Chase Schultz had a 92 and Kiernan Whitsell had a 96 to round out Wellsboro’s day.
