
LAPORTE, Pa. — North Penn-Mansfield senior Brooke Wilcox scored five goals to lead the Lady Tigers to a 6-2 win over Sullivan County here Saturday.
Wilcox scored a pair of unassisted goals sandwiched around a Sullivan County score early in the first half then found the net three more times before the break to give the Lady Tigers a 5-1 lead at halftime.
Wilcox scored at the 26:25 mark of the first half, assisted by Adalyne Yungwirth, at the 35:11 mark, unassisted, and then two minutes later off a Scarlett Graham helper to complete her ‘glut’ before the half.
Four minutes into the second half Wilcox found Yungwirth off a corner kick and Yungwirth scored North Penn-Mansfield’s final goal before Sullivan County added a goal to provide the 6-2 final.
The Lady Tigers held a 17-8 advantage in shots-on-goal and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks, while keeper Avalon Rew recorded six saves in net for Mansfield.
The Lady Tigers improve to 7-6 on the season with the win and are scheduled to return to action on Monday when they host Jersey Shore (3-10).
