ATHENS — North Penn-Liberty scored the lone goal that NTL champ Athens has conceded in league play this year and edged the Wildcats 1-0 in the Mounties’ final game of the regular season on Thursday.

After neither team could find the net in regulation, the match went into overtime and with 4:40 left in the first OT period, NP-Liberty’s Parker Jackson scored the game-winner, off an assist by Truman Loudenslager.

The Wildcats out shot Liberty 9-5 as Mountie keeper Deakon Valentine earned the clean sheet with nine saves.
