Southern scored on their first offensive play from scrimmage on a 66-yard run and added first quarter scores at the 7:46 and 3:01 marks to take a 21-0 lead over the Indians.

Three more TDs in the second quarter upped the Tigers’ lead to 41-0.

CV’s Dave Hess got the Indians on the scoreboard with a 4-yard touchdown run with two minutes remaining in the first half, but a failed extra point kick left the host Tigers’ lead at 35 (41-6) to enact the running clock in the second half.

Hess would score twice more in the third quarter .. on a 13-yard run and a 21-yard pass from Levi Stahli .. and two successful extra points by Gavin Churchill provided the 41-20 final. 

Hess finished the game with 51 yards and two TDs on 11 carries while Kegan Lane had 12 rushes for 43 yards. 

Hess also completed 2-of-9 passes for 14 yards and had two receptions for 14 yards and a score. Stahli was 3-of-4 passing for 32 yards and the TD to Hess.

Cowanesque Valley finishes their 2025 season with a 5-6 record.
