HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: NP-LIBERTY SENDS SEVEN TO DAY 2 OF DKI TOURNEY, BRYCE PEQUIGNOT IN SEMIS (2025-12-05)

BLOOMSBURG — North Penn-Liberty has seven wrestlers still competing at the DKI Tournament after the first day of action, led by Bryce Pequignot, who rolled into the semifinals with a pair of tech falls on Friday.

Pequignot (121 pounds) scored 17-1 and 15-0 TFs to earn a spot in Saturday’s semifinals. 

Bodhi Nickerson (114) won by a fall in his first match, lost by TF in the quarterfinals and will wrestle in Saturday’s 3rd Round of consolation matches.

The Mounties have both Aivan Whitteker and Charles Aumick at 127 pounds. Aumick won by a major decision, lost by TF and is in the 3rd Round consis on Saturday, while Whitteker was edged 6-5 in his first match and won by fall in his second to secure a spot Saturday in the 2nd Round of consolations.

Hoyt Pequignot (133) lost his first match and won his second and will wrestle in the 2nd Round of consolations, as will both Jonah Neill (139), who won by fall and was pinned, and Skyler Everetts (215), who won his first match in 26 seconds before being pinned in his second match. 

Gavin Stubblefield (189), Terrell Rinebold (172) and Logan Bitner (145) all fell in their first two matches to be eliminated from the tournament. 

The Mounties sit in 21st place as wrestling action continues on Saturday.
