Northern Tier West Sports ReportAUSTIN — Cowanesque Valley dropped their fourth straight game to start the season, losing 41-17 to Austin in non-league girls’ basketball action here Monday.
Austin led 8-5 after a quarter of play and used a 15-2 second frame to take a 23-7 advantage into the locker rooms. After increasing their lead to 29-10 in the third quarter, Austin finished CV off with a 12-7 fourth quarter.
Natalie Grab led the Lady Indians with seven points, while Starr Ordway had five points, Addy Lanzo and Taylor Eldridge had two points each and D. Stickler scored one point.
CV (0-4) is scheduled to return to play on Wednesday at Athens.
