NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON WINS WEST BATTLE WITH WELLSBORO (2025-12-17)

TIOGA JUNCTION — Williamson snapped a three game losing streak here Wednesday, topping the visiting Wellsboro Lady Hornets 47-29.

The Lady Warriors jumped out to an 11-4 lead after the first quarter and used a 16-6 second frame to take a 27-10 lead into the locker rooms. 

Alexis Sprague led Williamson in a balanced scoring attack, netting 12 points, while Bailey Snyder had 11 points and Kenna Thomas had 10. Olivia Nolan had eight points, Leann Kessing had four and Makayla Anderson added two points in the win.

The Warriors took the third quarter 12-9 to open up a 20-point lead at 39-19 before Wellsboro took the fourth quarter 10-8 to provide the final.

Kya Lawton had a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Wellsboro. Ady Frantz had five points and Reese Regina, Kate Bryant, Lily Wagner and Huslander had two points each.

Williamson (2-3) returns to play on Friday at Sayre while Wellsboro (1-3) is at North Penn-Mansfield, also on Friday.
