2025 ALL-TIOGA COUNTY FOOTBALL (2025-12-24)

Northern Tier West Sports Report
TIOGA COUNTY — The Northern Tier West Sports Report 2025 All-Tioga County Football Team is headlined by Wellsboro sophomore QB Griffin Morral as the ‘Player of the Year’.

Morral accounted for over 2,000 yards of offense for the 6-5 Hornets, throwing for 1,335 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season and rushing for 717 yards and nine more TDs.

A true cover corner on defense, Morral wasn’t tested often, giving up very few receptions and collecting 14 tackles and an interception.

Already a two-year starter as a sophomore, Morral was the 2024 All-Tioga County Football Offensive Newcomer and the overall Newcomer of the Fall as a freshman, and has racked up nearly 2,500 yards passing, over 800 yards rushing and 41 touchdowns in his two seasons as QB1 for the Hornets.

In a season of the ‘utility’ player, the West’s three teams all had players who excelled in multiple roles.

Cowanesque Valley’s ‘Mr. Versatility’ was junior Dave Hess, who ran for 762 yards and 11 TDs, caught nine passes for 168 yards and four scores and threw for 532 yards and nine touchdowns, earning him the All-Tioga County ‘Offensive Player of the Year’.

North Penn-Mansfield senior Luke Kreger ran for 704 yards and 10 touchdowns, had 22 receptions for 252 yards and a TD and threw for 148 yards and a score. Kreger also returned both a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns and is the All-Tioga County ‘Football Athlete of the Year’.

The All-Tioga County ‘Defensive Player of the Year’ is CV junior Kegan Lane, who collected 97 tackles, eight sacks and 17 total tackles for loss for the 5-6 Indians this season. Lane also ran for 1,093 yards and 11 TDs and caught eight passes, including a score.

Paving the way for Hess, Lane and the rest of the Cowanesque Valley offense was senior Luke Sottolano, the All-Tioga ‘Lineman of the Year’. Sottolano anchored an offensive line that allowed the Indians to average over 200 yards of rushing and 300 yards of offense per game. On defense, Sottolano had 46 tackles, four sacks and eight tackles for loss.
