HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL: LADY TIGERS REACH JOSH PALMER TOURNEY FINAL WITH WIN OVER EDISON (2025-12-27)

ELMIRA, NY — North Penn-Mansfield won their opening round game at the Josh Palmer Fund Tournament Saturday, beating Thomas Edison 55-30.

The Lady Tigers took an 11-7 lead after a quarter of play and went up 26-9 at the halftime break. Edison cut Mansfield’s lead to 37-25 in the third quarter but Mansfield sealed the win with an 18-5 fourth.

Maddy McNamara led NPM with 17 points and added four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Julia Kaczynski had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, Kameron Lightner had nine points, 15 rebounds, eight steals and three blocks, Emmi Route had six points, Elaina Shaw and Avalon Rew had five points each and Addie Lehman had two points.

North Penn-Mansfield (3-2) will play in the tourney final on Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. against Jamestown.
