Northern Tier West Sports ReportLIBERTY — North Penn-Liberty lost their first round match-up at their Kiwanis Christmas Tournament on Monday, falling 58-52 to Muncy.
The Mounties led for much of the game, going up 17-14 after the first quarter, 35-29 at the halftime break and 47-43 after three quarters of play. Muncy rallied for a 15-5 fourth quarter to earn the win.
Evan McTish led the Mounties with 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss. Landon Mattern had 11 points while Luke Kreger scored seven points and added six rebounds and five assists, Connor Lewis had six points, five rebounds and three assists and Brody Grinnell had five points.
North Penn-Liberty (1-4) will face Meadowbrook in the tournament consolation game on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
