Northern Tier West Sports ReportSOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro senior 215-pounder Hayden Stevens recorded three straight falls and won a title for the Hornets at the South Williamsport Invitational on Saturday.
The Hornets placed 11th in the 13-team field with 57 points, led by Stevens’ three falls on the day (:57, 2:25, 2:51).
Wyatt Kilburn placed 5th at 172 pounds, going 3-2 on the day with three falls (2:10, 1:39, 1:06).
Mason Green went 1-2 at 107 pounds and placed 5th, receiving a forfeit in the 5th/6th place match.
Gavin Carson went 2-3 with two falls at 160 pounds to place 6th.
Connor Linden went 0-3 at 127 pounds, Vaughn Shannon was 0-2 at 133 pounds, Kaynan Holler went 0-2 at 139 pounds and Mason Abplanalp was 0-2 at 145 pounds.
The Hornets are scheduled to return to dual meet action on Tuesday at Williamson.
