HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: ZANDER WILSON TITLE PACES WILLIAMSON AT GEESAMAN INVITE (2026-01-03)

FREDRICKSBURG, PA — Williamson finished a close 3rd at the Geesaman Invitational on Saturday, led by sophomore Zander Wilson’s title at 114 pounds.

The Warriors scored 149 team points, behind only host Northern Lebanon (150) and Gettysburg (149.5) and ahead of the rest of the field, which included teams from Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Georgia, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia.

Wilson racked up two falls (:14, :45) and a tech fall (19-3) on his way to the 114-pound final, where he won in 26 seconds to claim the championship.

Anthony Baker reached the 160-pound final with a tech fall (17-1), a 4-2 decision, a pin in 4:19 and a forfeit. He fell by tech fall in the final to claim 2nd place.

Luke Sottolano placed 3rd at 285 pounds, losing 2-1 in the semis and recording five pins on the day (:11, :20, :29, 1:30, 4:32).

Hunter Simonds went 4-2 at 127 pounds and Ben Freeman went 4-2 at 215 pounds as each claimed 4th place. Stevie Olson went 3-3 at 172 pounds and placed 6th, while Xander Stafford went 2-3 at 121 pounds and placed 8th.

Kohen Vandelinder went 2-2 at 145 pounds while Memphis Brockway (160), Kolton Putt (133) and Riley Rall (189) each went 0-2 on the day.
