Northern Tier West Sports ReportROME — Wellsboro outscored Northeast Bradford across the middle quarters but fell to the host Lady Panthers 47-34 in an NTL girls’ basketball match-up here Monday.
NEB jumped out to a 12-2 lead after a quarter of play before Wellsboro held a 12-7 advantage in the second quarter to go into halftime down 19-14. After a 14-all third frame, NEB outscored the Lady Hornets 14-6 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Ady Frantz led Wellsboro with 10 points while Kya Lawton added eight points and Kate Bryant and Lily Wagner had six points each.
Wellsboro (3-5) visits Wyalusing on Wednesday.
