NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: NPL MOUNTIES ROLL TO LOPSIDED WIN OVER SAYRE (2026-01-13)

SAYRE — North Penn-Liberty scored 47 first half points and cruised to a 61-32 win over Sayre in NTL small school boys’ basketball action here Tuesday.

Evan McTish scored 13 first quarter points as the Mounties jumped out to a 30-10 lead. The senior finished with 25 points in the win and added eight rebounds and six steals. 

The Mounties increased their lead to 47-22 at the break and finished the win with a 6-3 third quarter and an 8-7 fourth.

Conner Lewis scored nine points and had 11 rebounds, Landon Mattern had seven points, Sudan Benner had five points. Brody Grinnell, Kayden Mowery and Luke Kreger had four points each and Silas Boiywo rounded out Liberty’s scoring with three points. 

North Penn-Liberty (6-5) is scheduled to host Cowanesque Valley on Thursday.
