Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — The Tigers won their second game in as many days here Saturday, topping Northern Potter 58-22 in a non-league boys’ basketball match-up.
Mansfield used balanced scoring and strong defense to take leads of 10-7 after the first quarter, 29-11 at the halftime break and 45-15 after three quarters of play.
Layne Cummings led the Tigers with 14 points while Colton Pellett had 11 and Kevin Clemente-Vazquez had 10 points.
Jason Harer had eight points, Collin Oakes had seven, Andy Hermansen scored six points and added seven rebounds and four steals and Keaton Manikowski had two points.
With the win and Friday’s win over Sayre, North Penn-Mansfield improves to 9-7 on the season. The Tigers are scheduled to visit Towanda on Monday and to host Williamson on Wednesday and Wellsboro on Friday.
