Northern Tier West Sports ReportCANTON — Wellsboro struggled to get their offense going and lost 53-18 to the host Canton Warriors in NTL girls’ basketball play here Tuesday.
A pair of seven-point quarters to start the game left the Lady Hornets down 27-14 at the break. Canton went on a 20-0 run in the third to pull away for the win.
Lena Rothermel led Wellsboro with six points while Ady Frantz had five, Kate Bryant had three points and Kya Lawton and Aileen Bowers had two points each.
The Hornets (4-13) host North Penn-Mansfield on Thursday.
