Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Lady Hornets were outscored 53-11 in the final three quarters and fell 62-21 to the visiting Wyalusing Lady Rams here Tuesday.
Wellsboro took a 10-9 lead after the first quarter of play before Wyalusing took the lead with a 19-5 second quarter and led 28-15 at the break. A 25-2 Wyalusing third put the Rams up 53-17 and a 9-4 final frame provided the final.
Kya Lawton led Wellsboro with eight points while Kate Bryant had six points, Lily Wagner, Amelia Hulslander and Aileen Bowers had two points each and Ady Frantz scored one point.
Wellsboro (4-15) is scheduled to return to play on Thursday at Towanda.
