WESTFIELD — The Cowanesque Valley baseball team ran their season record to 2-0 Tuesday, beating the visiting Canton Warriors 11-1 in six innings.

The Indians scored two runs in each of the first, second, fourth and sixth innings and plated three runs in the fifth.

CV collected five base hits in the win with Gavin Churchill (1 RBI, 1 R), Ayren Morgan (1 RBI, 1 R) and Dave Hess (1 RBI, 2 R) each with a double and Levi Stahli (1 RBI) and Hunter Simonds (1 RBI) each singled. 

Cam Stahli and Lucas Hamilton each had an RBI, Logan Huntington scored two runs and Brody Bruce, Kegan Lane, Jacob Whitsell and William Kies scored a run each.

The Indians used four pitchers in the win, with Churchill going two innings and allowing one base hit with four strikeouts, Cam Stahli throwing two and two-third innings with three strikeouts, Whitsell going an inning and giving up an earned run on two hits and two walks with one K and Hamilton registering an out for one-third inning pitched.

CV (2-0) is scheduled to return to action Wednesday when they host Oswayo Valley.
