LAWRENCEVILLE — The Williamson Lady Warriors opened their 2026 softball season here Wednesday, beating Northeast Bradford, 12-5.
After giving up four runs to NEB in the first inning, the Warriors batted around their line-up and scored seven runs on four base hits, two walks a hit batter and a NEB error.
Jocelyn Colegrove led Williamson at the plate, driving in five runs with a home run, a double and a single and scoring three runs.
Colegrove and Lexi Smalley hit back-to-back doubles in the second inning as the Warriors took a 9-4 lead.
Olivia Gee singled in the fourth inning and scored as Smalley reached base on a dropped third strike. Colegrove brought Smalley home with a home run and Williamson led 12-4. NEB added a run in the seventh to provide the final.
Gee finished with two hits and scored twice, Smalley had a double and scored three runs, Alexis Sprague had a double, an RBI and a run scored, Aubree Roe had a base hit and a run scored, Mckenzie Adriance had a double and scored and Kenna Thomas had an RBI and a run scored.
Gee pitched four innings for the Warriors and allowed four runs .. one earned .. on four base hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Thomas threw the final three innings and gave up one earned run on two hits with four K’s.
Williamson (1-0) is scheduled to host Sayre on Thursday.
