NTL SOFTBALL: WILLIAMSON LADY WARRIORS USE LONG BALL TO 10-RUN SAYRE (2026-03-26)

LAWRENCEVILLE — Williamson won their second straight game to start the season, using three home runs to top the visiting Sayre Lady Redskins in NTL softball action here Thursday.

Jocelyn Colegrove hit a pair of homers .. including a 2nd inning grand slam .. and finished with three hits, six RBI and two runs scored. 

Kenna Thomas opened the game’s scoring in the first inning, connecting on a two-run home run that scored Olivia Gee .. who had singled. Colegrove went back-to-back with Thomas, driving one over the left field fence to put the Lady Warriors up 3-0.

Colegrove’s grand slam came after Gee reached base with a two-out single, Lexi Smalley was hit by a pitch and Thomas reached on an error to load the bases. 

Williamson scored four more in the third and held the Lady Redskins to a lone run in the fourth to earn the 10-run win.

Gee finished with a pair of base hits and scored three runs, Laila Hackett had two hits, Thomas had the homer, two RBI and scored once and Ashlyn Wells had a base hit and scored.

Alexis Sprague and Smalley each had an RBI, Lainey Hackett scored twice and Maddy Fay and Mckenzie Adriance each scored a run.

Thomas pitched all five innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks with eight strikeouts.

Williamson (2-0) is scheduled to next host Line Mountain, on Monday.
