NTL SOFTBALL: WELLSBORO TOPS SAYRE FOR FIRST WIN (2026-03-30)

WELLSBORO — Three Lady Hornets combined to throw a one-hit shutout and beat Sayre 11-0 for their first win of the season here Monday.

Ady Frantz started and pitched three innings while walking one and striking out six Sayre batters. Hailie Smith threw one inning and allowed Sayre’s lone hit and struck out three and Gena Fleming went one inning with two strikeouts.

At the plate, Frantz had three hits, with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. Delaney Morral (1 RBI, 1 R), Mazie Johnson (1 RBI, 1 R) and Harleigh Cleveland (1 RBI) had two hits each. Teagan Novinger (2 RBI) had a triple, Rylee Coolidge (1 RBI, 1 R) had a double, Lacie Brutsman (1 RBI, 1 R) had a hit and Gena Fleming and Kaylee Frazier each scored a run.

Wellsboro (1-2) is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday at Towanda.
