Northern Tier West Sports ReportTOWANDA — The North Penn-Mansfield Track & Field teams each swept their tri-meets on Tuesday, beating Canton as well as the host Towanda Black Knights.
The boys scored 104 points to outdistance both Towanda (41) and Canton (31).
In the 400m, Charles Aumick was 1st (55.17), Michael Knefley was 2nd (55.59) and Braeden VanLoon was 3rd (55.67).
In the 1600m, David Graf was 1st (5:06.66), Mason Forer was 2nd (5:06.67), Luke Chakraborty was 3rd (5:20.33) and Alexander Mahosky was 4th (5:56.37) while in the 3200m run, Luke Chakraborty was 1st (14:21.67) and William Bishop was 3rd (16:57.32).
Sudan Benner won the 800m (2:16.77) while Peter Bishop was 2nd (2:17.58) and Alexander Mahosky was 4th (2:44.84), and Isaiah VanLoon won the 300m hurdles (50.84) while Caleb Post was 2nd (54.09).
Deakon Valentine won the discus (131-11) and the javelin (149-04) .. with Brody Grinnell placing 2nd (141-00) .. and was 4th in the shot put (38-11).
In the high jump, Colton Pellett was 1st (38-08.75), Brody Grinnell was 2nd (35-03), Gage Wheatley was 3rd (35-00) and Keaton Manikowski was 4th (34-11.75) and Grinnell was 1st in the long jump (18-06) and Jeremiah Lawrence was 3rd (16-10).
Layne Cummings was 2nd in the 100m dash (12.42) and Lawrence was 3rd (12.44) while Cummings was also 2nd in the 200m (25.68) and Lawrence was 4th (26.18). Luke Kreger was 2nd in the high jump (6-00) and Colton Pellett was 3rd (5-10), Caleb Post was 3rd in the 110m hurdles (21.03) and the Tigers’ 4x100m relay team placed 1st (47.15).
The Lady Tigers scored 82 points to win, beating both Towanda (53) and Canton (40).
Maryn McCarthy won the 400m (1:11.91), with Hope Deming in 2nd (1:30.32) and Amelia Graham in 3rd (1:37.88), Scarlett Graham won the 800m (2:30.23), with Jaci Fairchild in 2nd (2:31.80), Alivia Lisowski in 3rd (3:05.53) and Kara Barrett in 4th (3:09.06).
In the 1600m, Leila Garverick was 1st (6:40.00), Moira Wheeler was 2nd (7:10.00) and Alivia Lisowski was 3rd (8:01.00) and in the 3200m, Jaci Fairchild was 1st (15:18.60), Maryn McCarthy was 2nd (17:46.38) and Kara Barrett was 3rd (17:46.57).
Anna Owlett placed 1st in the 300m hurdles (57.48), Victoria McTish was 2nd (58.41) and Nora Furry was 3rd (58.50). Scott won the triple jump (30-06.75) with Furry in 3rd (29-05) and was 4th in the long jump (12-08) while Furry was 4th in the high jump (4-06).
Madilynn Scott was 3rd in the 100m dash (14.20), Gabby Bubeck was 3rd in the 200m (30.33) and Abigail Hazelton was 4th (31.31). Both the 4x100m (54.24) and 4x800m (13:35.72) relay teams placed first for Mansfield as well.
