Northern Tier West Sports ReportWESTFIELD — The Cowanesque Valley baseball team ran their season record to 7-0 here Thursday, one-hitting Wyalusing and using 13 base hits to top the Rams, 14-0.
Gavin Churchill allowed one hit, a walk and struck out eight in three innings of work for the Indians while Cam Stahli threw two innings and struck out five Wyalusing batters.
William Kies had three base hits for CV and added an RBI and three runs scored, while Ayren Morgan had two hits, scored a run and drove in five.
Lucas Hamilton had two hits .. with a double .. and had an RBI and a run scored, while Danny Smith and Drayden McGee each had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored.
Dave Hess had a hit, two RBI and scored twice, Brody Bruce had a hit and Hunter Simonds and Churchill each scored a run in the win.
Cowanesque Valley (7-0) is set to visit Wellsboro (3-1) on Saturday.
