NTL TRACK & FIELD: HORNETS SWEEP TRI-MEET WITH SAYRE AT TROY (2026-04-14)

TROY — The Wellsboro girls’ and boys’ Track & Field teams swept a tri-meet in Troy on Tuesday, with each beating both Sayre and the host Trojans.

The Lady Hornets scored 109 points to top both Troy (62) and Sayre (12).

Lauren Kosek won the 400m (1:06.56), the 800m (2:42.95), the 1600m (5:56.88) and the 3200m (13:47.74). 

Isla Twoey won the 300m hurdles (50.46), the long jump (16-3.50) and the triple jump (32-2.00), Piper Hoprich won the 100m (12.40) and 200m (25.08) dashes and Kristina Belz won the high jump (4-8).

In the 100m dash, Luna Moyer was 2nd (13.52), Sophia Yoder was 3rd (13.60) and Dillyn Patt was 4th (13.72), in the 200m Jennifer Belz was 3rd (29.43) and Shaina Harrison was 4th (30.68) and in the 400m Annabella Hawn was 3rd (1:12.16) and Adesyn Chaborek was 4th (1:17.52).

In the 800m, Kaci Kosek was 2nd (2:48.73) and Chaborek was 4th (3:06.06) while in the 1600m, Molly Tice was 3rd (6:58.05) and Luisa Crocco was 4th (7:24.24). Jennifer Belz was 2nd in the 100m hurdles (18.22) and Olive Twoey was 3rd (18.53) and in the 300m hurdles, Olive Twoey was 3rd (55.34) and Piper Perry was 4th (55.41).

Lauren Gehman was 2nd in the triple jump (31-0.50) and Kate Satalin was 4th (29-0.00), Gehman was 4th in the long jump (15-2.10) and June Roth was 4th in the high jump (4-4). Roth was 2nd in the javelin (41-8), Katherine Whitney was 2nd in the shot put (26-2) and 4th in the discus (74-2.50). Megan Mosher was 2nd in the pole vault (7-0) and Brooke Wheeler was 4th (5-6).

The boys scored 91.5 points to beat both Troy (73.5) and Sayre (7).

Jonathan Carl won the 100m (11.54) and 200m (22.74) dashes, the long jump (19-10.75) and the triple jump (40-11.75).

David Seeling won the 110m (16.70) and 300m (45.01) hurdles and the high jump (6-0) and Henry Whitney won the 800m (2:04.33), the 1600m (5:13.47) and the 3200m (11:58.38).

Jacoby Strang was 3rd in the 100m (11.88) and Liam Stevens was 4th (12.20), Aaron Kirk was 3rd in the 200m (24.97), Logan Johnson was 2nd in the 400m (57.91) and Dylan Tomlinson was 4th (1:01.09), Johnson was 3rd in the 800m (2:29.44) and Ethan Geneski was 4th in the 1600m (5:40.28) and 4th in the 3200m (13:24.46).

Stevens was 2nd in the long jump (19-10.25), Ransom Schultz was 3rd (17-7) and Connor Hartman was 4th (16-6), Deshun Hennigan was 3rd in the triple jump (35-3.25), Conlen Whitsell was 2nd in the discus (101-4), Shultz was 2nd in the shot put (40-0) and in the pole vault, Zander Rachiele was 3rd (8-0) and Tomlinson was 4th (7-6).
