Sayre scored the first two runs of the game in their first at-bat and added their other run in the third while CV scored one run in the first inning, two in the second, three in the third, one in the fourth and six in the fifth frame to end the game early.
Lilah LaBarron earned the win for the Indians, going all five innings and allowing three runs (1 earned) on three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.
Emma Carl (2RBI, 2R) had three doubles while Braelyn Balada (2-2b, 1RBI, 3R) and Zeraya Wilson (3RBI, 1R) had three base hits each.
LaBarron (1RBI, 1R), Taylor Eldridge (2R), Natalie Grab (1RBI, 1R) and Katie Huzey (2RBI, 2R) had two hits each, Arianna Cary had a hit and Bella Mascho scored a run.
CV improves to 6-3 on the season with their third straight win. They’re scheduled to visit Cameron County on Wednesday.
