Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The NTWSR / Laurel Health ‘Athletes of the Week’ are Cowanesque Valley’s Levi Stahli and Zeraya Wilson and North Penn-Mansfield’s Deakon Valentine.
Stahli helped CV to a 4-0 week .. collecting three base hits and an RBI in an 11-3 win over NEB, two RBI in an 8-3 win over Canton, a hit, two RBI and two runs scored in an 11-1 win over Sayre and two base hits, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-4 win over Northern Potter. Stahli made two appearances on the mound, going two and two-third innings and allowing one run with five strikeouts.
Wilson helped the Lady Indians to a 3-1 week, with a hit and a run scored in CV’s lone loss of the week, 8-1 to Northern Potter, three hits (with a double), two RBI and three runs scored in a 9-1 win over NEB, a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in a 17-1 win over Canton and three base hits, three RBI and a run scored in a 13-3 win over Sayre.
Deakon Valentine broke North Penn-Mansfield’s program record in the javelin, throwing 173-8.00 to place 5th at the Jack Roddick Invitational at Shippensburg University.
