THE SPORTS REPORTS: CORNING'S McLAUGHLIN, TIOGA'S FEEKO, WAVERLY'S AULT NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2026-04-25)

Corning senior Cella McLaughlin won three events at the Webster Track & Field Invite, while Tioga senior RaeAnne Feeko and Waverly senior Ronin Ault had big weeks on the diamonds. They are The Sports Reports Ziff Law Firm Regional "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending April 18.

CORNING'S McLAUGHLIN, TIOGA'S FEEKO NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"

McLaughlin won the 100-meter hurdles, the 200-meter dash, and the long jump at the Webster Invite.

She won the hurdles at 14.04 seconds, 1.58 seconds faster than the runner-up, then won the 200 in 25.17 seconds, .71 seconds faster than the runner-up.

McLaughlin won the long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 9 1/2-inches, more than a foot longer than the runner-up.

Feeko hit .889 (eight hits in nine at-bats) with two home runs, one double, one triple, seven runs scored, 12 RBI, and five stolen bases in Tioga's three wins.

Feeko was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored, two stolen bases, and three RBI in a 15-2 win over Groton, then homered and doubled, scored one run had three RBI in an 11-0 win over Marathon.

She closed out the week with three hits, including a home run, a triple, two stolen bases, three runs, and six RBI in a 20-1 win over Newark Valley.

WAVERLY'S AULT NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"

Ault hit .538 (seven hits in 13 at-bats) with two doubles, one home run, seven runs scored, eight RBI, and four stolen bases, in Waverly's four wins.

Ault earned two wins on the mound, tossing four innings of two-hit ball in a 20-1 win over Seton Catholic on Wednesday, and three innings of scoreless relief in a 9-7 win over Vestal Saturday.

In all, Ault was 2-0, allowing one earned run on four hits in seven innings, while striking out eight and walking two.
