NTL SOFTBALL: LADY HORNETS FALL TO LATE WYALUSING RALLY (2026-04-28)

WYALUSING — Wellsboro fell victim to a late Wyalusing rally and fell to the Lady Rams 16-6 in NTL softball action here Tuesday.

The Lady Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, went up 4-0 in the third and led 6-4 as Wyalusing came up in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Rams plated 12 runs in the sixth to end the game early.

Ady Frantz took the loss for Wellsboro, throwing five and two third innings and allowing 16 runs (12 earned) on 10 Wyalusing base hits and three walks while striking out eight. 

The Hornets had five base hits in the loss, with Haylie Smith collecting a triple and a double and adding an RBI and a run scored. Rylee Coolidge had a double and scored two runs, Harleigh Cleveland had a hit and a run scored, Frantz had a hit, Delaney Morral had an RBI and Gena Fleming scored two runs.

Wellsboro (6-9) is scheduled to return to action Thursday when they host Canton.
