Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Wellsboro girls Track & Field team completed an undefeated regular season by sweeping a hosted tri-meet here Tuesday while the boys went 1-1.
The Lady Hornets scored 94.5 points to beat both Athens (68.5) and Canton (26).
Lauren Kosek took 1st in the 800m (2:33.64), the 1600m (6:05.41) and the 3200m (13:34.57), Piper Hoprich won the 100m (12.53) and 200m (24.55) dashes, Kristina Belz won the long jump (16-07.25) and the triple jump (32-02.50), Olivia Gage won the high jump (4-06), Megan Mosher won the pole vault (7-00) and the 4x100m relay team .. with Hoprich, Luna Moyer, Sophia Yoder and Paige Rush .. placed 1st (52.01).
Lauren Kosek was 2nd in the 400m (1:08.71), Olive Twoey was 2nd in the 100m hurdles (18.01) and Jennifer Belz was 3rd (18.78), Isla Twoey was 2nd in the 300m hurdles (51.80) and Olive Twoey was 3rd (53.71), Elise Largey was 2nd in the pole vault (7-00), Megan Moshier tied for 2nd in the long jump (14-01) and Ella Boyce was 3rd (13-07.50), Sienna Zengerle was 2nd in the javelin (87-06) and Taylor Main was 3rd (76-00.5), Luna Moyer was 3rd in the 100m (13.42) and 200m (28.04) dashes, Kristina Belz was 3rd in the high jump (4-06), Penelope Pell was 3rd in the triple jump (28-09.50) and Katherine Whitney was 3rd in the discus (81-06).
The boys scored 76.33 points, behind Athens (91.66) and ahead of Canton (20).
David Seeling won the 300m hurdles (41.47), the high jump (6-02) and the pole vault (9-00), Brayden Benjamin won the 110m hurdles (17.53) and the long jump (18-11), Jonathan Carl won the 200m (23.88) and the triple jump (40-07) and Henry Whitney won the 1600m (4:34.56).
Jacoby Strang was 2nd in the 100m (12.11), Seeling was 2nd in the triple jump (39-09) and Desmun Hennigan was 3rd (36-09.25), Liam Stevens was 2nd in the long jump (18-10) and Carl was 3rd (17-10.50), Ransom Schultz was 2nd in the javelin (116-05) and 3rd in the shot put (40-10), Jude Cuneo was 3rd in the 1600m (4:45.80) and Logan Johnson was 3rd in the 400m (57.09).
