Northern Tier West Sports ReportWESTFIELD — The CV Lady Indians lost their NTL softball match-up to Towanda here Tuesday, 10-0 in five innings.
Towanda scored two runs in the first and third innings, plated five in the fourth and added their final run in the fifth to end the game early.
Cowanesque Valley had five base hits in the loss as Lilah LaBarron had two and Zeraya Wilson, Emma Carl and Braelynn Balada each had one. Carl drew the Indians’ lone walk of the night and Balada also reached base after being hit by a pitch.
LaBarron took the loss, pitching all five innings and allowing 10 runs (3 earned) on seven Towanda hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
CV (9-8) returns to action Thursday with a visit to Troy.
