NTL SOFTBALL: NPL LADY MOUNTIES GRIND OUT WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (2026-05-07)

MANSFIELD — North Penn-Liberty manufactured single runs in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings and Elyna Booth struck out 14 as the Lady Mounties topped Williamson 3-0 here Thursday. 

Booth went all seven innings for the Mounties and allowed five Williamson hits while walking none.

NPL broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the 3rd when Addie Lehman reached base on a two-out bunt and scored on a Madison Smith single and a Williamson error. 

Booth drove Kameron Lightner, who had singled, home with a hit in the 4th inning to make it 2-0 and Maddie McNamara led off the 5th with a single and later stole home to provide the final score. 

Smith finished with two base hits in the win while Booth, Lightner, McNamara and Haley Litzelman each singled for Liberty. 

Kenna Thomas took the loss for Williamson, pitching all six innings and allowing three runs (1 earned) on six NPL hits while striking out eight. 

Jocelyn Colegrove had two hits for the Warriors while Olivia Gee, Lexi Smalley and Thomas each had a hit in the loss.

North Penn-Liberty (13-3) is scheduled to return to play on Saturday when they host Northern Potter while Williamson (9-7) is at Addison on Monday.
