Northern Tier West Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — No. 3 seed Williamson tied No. 2 seed Wyalusing up at 2-all in the third inning of their District IV 2A playoff game Tuesday, but the Lady Warriors couldn’t keep up and lost 7-3 to the Rams.
Wyalusing scored two runs in the home half of the first inning and after a scoreless second inning Williamson used walks by Alexis Sprague and Lexi Smalley and a Kenna Thomas single that scored both to tie the game at 2-2.
The Lady Rams retook the lead at 5-2 with a three-run third and added two more runs in the fourth to go up 7-2.
Williamson scored their final run in the sixth inning when Lainey Hackett walked with the bases loaded to score Jocelyn Colegrove.
Colegrove and Thomas had Williamson’s two hits in the game, both singles.
Thomas took the loss, pitching all six innings for the Lady Warriors and allowing seven runs (2 earned) on 10 base hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.
Williamson’s season comes to an end with the loss, leaving the Lady Warriors with a final record of 13-8.
