SHIPPENSBURG — The North Penn-Mansfield 4x800m relay took 12th during the PIAA Track and Field Championships Saturday.
Running in the Class AA field out of the third heat the Tigers ran 8:18.24, less than five seconds from a state medal.
Lead off leg Braden VanLoon ran a 2:07.08, while Sudan Benner ran 2:05.12 on the second leg as they moved from 17th to 12th.
Peter Bishop's 2:03.53 third leg got them as high as ninth while Michael Knefley finished with a 2:02.52 leg.
