Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The schedules for the PA District 15 Little League All-Star tournaments have been released, as 11 teams from the West will be competing.
10U Softball
There’s one pool in minors’ softball, with Wellsboro, Towanda, Canton and Athens fielding teams.
Pool play games start on Thursday, June 18th, with Wellsboro visiting Towanda for a 5:30 p.m. start. On Saturday, June 20th, Wellsboro will host Athens at 3:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 22nd, Wellsboro will host Canton.
Bracket play will start on Wednesday, June 24th.
Major Softball
There will be two pools in the 12U softball, with Athens, Canton and Towanda making up the East and Southern Tioga, Wellsboro and Troy in the West.
Southern Tioga hosts Troy for a 6 p.m. game on Wednesday, June 10th. Wellsboro visits Troy on Friday, June 12th at 6 p.m. and Wellsboro hosts Southern Tioga on Sunday, June 14th at 4 p.m.
Bracket play will start on Tuesday, June 16th.
10U Baseball
The biggest pool of the tourney, minor baseball will have nine teams split into two pools. The East will have Athens, Canton, Sayre, Towanda and Troy and the West will have Southern Tioga, Allegheny Mountain, Tioga-Lawrenceville and Wellsboro.
Play begins on Friday, June 19th with Southern Tioga visiting Allegheny Mtn. and Wellsboro visiting Tioga-Lawrenceville, both games starting at 6 p.m. On Tuesday, June 23rd, Southern Tioga will host Tioga-Lawrenceville and Wellsboro hosts Allegheny Mtn. .. again, both at 6 p.m. On Saturday, June 27th, Tioga-Lawrenceville hosts Allegheny Mtn. And Southern Tioga hosts Wellsboro, both games starting at 6 p.m.
Bracket play begins on Monday, June 29th.
Major Baseball
The East will be made up of Athens, Canton, Sayre and Towanda while the West will have Elkland, Southern Tioga, Wellsboro and Troy.
Pool play begins on Saturday, June 20th with Elkland hosting Southern Tioga and Wellsboro visiting Troy, both games starting at 3 p.m.. On Monday, June 22nd, Southern Tioga hosts Troy and Elkland hosts Wellsboro, both at 6 p.m., and on Wednesday, June 24th, Elkland visits Troy and Wellsboro hosts Southern Tioga, both again at 6 p.m.
Bracket play begins on Friday, June 26th.
Junior Baseball
Two teams will compete .. Southern Tioga and Athens.
Southern Tioga will travel to Athens on Wednesday, June 24th and Friday, June 26th. Both games start at 5:30 p.m.
Bracket play will start on Sunday, June 28th, at Athens.
