TIOGA COUNTY — The NTWSR 2026 All-Tioga County Baseball Team is led by Wellsboro senior Marek Mascho as the ‘Player of the Year’.

Mascho led Head Coach Kyle Smith's Hornets to a 14-1 league record, an 18-3 overall mark and a share of the NTL Large School title. The senior collected 36 base hits .. including 10 doubles and a home run .. while batting .456 with 35 runs scored, 27 runs-batted-in, eight stolen bases and a .500 on-base-percentage. On the mound, Mascho went 3-1 over 26 innings of work with a 5.19 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

Wellsboro relied heavily on ace Max Mascho, the All-Tioga County ‘Pitcher of the Year’, who went 7-1 with a 2.68 ERA and 71 strikeouts. The junior also produced at the plate, hitting .327 with 18 hits, 24 runs scored, 16 RBI and 20 walks drawn to finish with a .519 OBP.

The All-Tioga County ‘Offensive Player of the Year’ is North Penn-Mansfield’s Andy Hermansen, who hit .475 for the 8-12 Tigers with 29 base hits .. including two home runs, three triples and nine doubles .. and added 29 runs scored, 22 stolen bases, 14 RBI and got on base at a .569 clip. The senior also went 2-0 from the mound, throwing 19 innings and going 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

Wellsboro catcher Coen Tennis repeats as the All-Tioga County ‘Defensive Player of the Year’, committing a single error and allowing just over a stolen base per game throughout the Hornets’ championship season. The junior backstop hit .463 with 31 hits .. including three home runs, a triple and five doubles .. 31 RBI, 21 runs scored and a .537 OBP. 

Cowanesque Valley senior William Kies is the All-Tioga County ‘Breakout Player of the Year’ after helping the Indians to a repeat Small School title by improving his batting average 193 points (.333), his OBP 373 points (.536) and collecting 10 more hits (16), 11 more runs (22) and seven more RBI (15) from a season ago. 

The All-Tioga County ‘Co-Rookies of the Year’ are freshmen Gage Baltzley from Wellsboro and North Penn-Mansfield’s Ryder Breon.
Baltzley hit .362 with 17 base hits, 20 runs scored, 25 RBI, 18 stolen bases and a .557 OBP and went 4-0 on the mound with 30 innings pitched, a 2.40 ERA and 32 strikeouts.
Breon hit .338 with 22 base hits, 13 runs scored, 12 RBI and a .403 OBP and threw 16 innings with 15 K’s and a 3.94 ERA.
