Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Wellsboro 10U softball All-Stars lost 12-6 to Canton here Tuesday to fall to 0-3 in PA District 15 Little League pool play.
Wellsboro scored first and led 1-0 after their first at-bat before Canton scored two runs in the first inning and four in the second to take a 6-1 lead. Wellsboro scored one run in the fourth but Canton answered with five runs in the bottom half to go up 11-2.
Wellsboro scored two runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings and Canton tacked on their final run in the fifth.
Wellsboro will face top-seeded Towanda in bracket play on Wednesday.
