Northern Tier West Sports ReportATHENS — The Southern Tioga major baseball All-Stars edged host Athens 4-3 Friday to advance to the PA District 15 championship bracket semifinals.
Southern Tioga will meet Wellsboro .. 11-7 winners over Canton on Friday .. in the semis on Tuesday in Wellsboro.
In the top of the championship bracket, Towanda beat Elkland 18-4 and Troy beat Sayre 18-1. Elkland will host Athens in the first consolation round on Sunday.
