Northern Tier West Sports ReportATHENS — The Southern Tioga 10U baseball team dropped their first game of the PA District 15 Little League All-Star Tournament here Wednesday, falling 9-8 to Athens.
Down 6-3 going into the sixth inning, Southern Tioga rallied for five runs to take an 8-6 lead, but Athens rallied for two runs in their final at-bat to earn the win.
Southern Tioga can play their way back into the finals with a win over Towanda in the consolation final on Friday in Sayre.
