Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The NTWSR All-Tioga County Female ‘Super 7’ Newcomers of the Year is led by North Penn-Liberty/North Penn-Mansfield freshman Scarlett Graham.
Graham is joined on the ‘Super 7’ list by Wellsboro’s Haylie Smith, NPM/NPL’s Julia Kaczynski, Williamson/CV duo Lainey Hackett and Maddison Fay, North Penn-Mansfield’s Leila Garverick and Cowanesque Valley’s Braelynn Balada.

.. was named 2nd Team All-Tioga County in soccer after helping the Lady Tigers to a resurgent season with a goal and three assists.
.. scored 4.7 points per game and added 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.7 steals for the Lady Mounties and was named to the All-Tioga County 3rd team.
.. was the All-Tioga County Female Track & Field Newcomer of the Year for North Penn-Mansfield .. earned an NTL title in the 4x400m relay, a runner-up finish in the 4x800m relay and a bronze in the 200m dash, medaled with a 3rd-place finish in the 400 and an 8th-place in the 4x800 at Districts and qualified for the PIAA Championships, finishing 15th in the 400.

.. named the All-Tioga County girls’ soccer ’Newcomer of the Year’ after collecting 12 goals and four assists in her inaugural campaign for the Lady Hornets.
.. was the Co-Newcomer of the Year in softball .. batted .328 with 20 base hits (3-3b, 3-2b), 27 runs scored, seven RBI, nine stolen bases and a .432 OBP.

.. was a junior varsity contributor for the North Penn-Liberty volleyball team.
.. named the All-Tioga County Girls Basketball Newcomer of the Year, averaging 5.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for the Lady Tigers.
.. named the Co-Newcomer of the Year in softball after hitting .446 with 25 base hits (9-2b), 20 runs scored, nine RBI, eight stolen bases and a .523 OBP for the Mounties.
Lainey Hackett, Williamson/CV, freshman ..
.. was named to the All-Tioga County Girls XC ‘Fab 5’ after placing 8th at the NTL meet and 29th at Districts for Cowanesque Valley.
.. was a starter for the Williamson girls’ soccer team, with one goal and one assist on the season.
.. JV starter and spot contributor on the Williamson varsity girls’ basketball team.
.. won an NTL title on Williamson’s 4x800m relay squad, placed 3rd in the 800 at the NTL meet, 5th in the 3200 and 7th in the 1600 .. won a District IV medal by placing 4th in the 4x800 and finished 10th in the 1600 and 11th in the 800 at Districts and qualified for States in the 4x800, finishing 22nd.

.. was named to the All-Tioga County Girls XC ‘Fab 5’ after placing 12th at the NTL meet and 30th at Districts for Cowanesque Valley.
.. went 17-8 and placed 6th at Districts for the first-year Williamson girls’ wrestling team.
.. won an NTL title on Williamson’s 4x800m relay squad and placed 8th in both the 800 and the 1600 at NTL’s, won a District IV medal by placing 4th in the 4x800 and was 13th in the 800 at Districts and qualified for States in the 4x800, finishing 22nd.
Leila Garverick, North Penn-Mansfield, freshman ..
.. was named to the All-Tioga County Girls XC ‘Fab 5’ after placing 6th at the NTL meet, 15th at the District IV Championships and 65th at States.
.. was named 1st Team All-Tioga County in soccer after helping the Lady Tigers to a resurgent season with two goals and two assists.
.. earned a runner-up finish at the NTL meet in the 4x800m relay and placed 4th in the 3200, then medaled at Districts with an 8th place finish in the 4x800.
Braelyn Balada, Cowanesque Valley, freshman ..
.. named honorable mention All-Tioga County in volleyball for the Lady Indians, with 27 points, 4 aces, 12 kills and 4 blocks.
.. was the lone freshman on CV’s girls’ basketball team and contributed 3.1 points per game.
.. named to the All-Tioga County Softball 2nd team after hitting .400 with 22 base hits (6-2b), 17 runs scored, 10 RBI and a .459 OBP.
