Northern Tier West Sports ReportWAVERLY, NY — The Cowanesque Valley golf team scored a 359 and placed 5th in an NTL match at Shepard Hills on Wednesday.
Danny Smith led the way for the Indians, using a pair of birdies and three pars to shoot a 46 on the front nine and a 37 on the back to finish with an 11-over-par 83.
Grant Hills (48, 37) had two birdies and seven pars for an 85, Luke Hamilton (50, 44) shot a 94, Ashtyn Burdick (48, 49) had a 97, Brent Watkins (52, 50) had a 102 and Katie Huzey (53, 53) shot a 106.
Towanda (311) went 7-0 on the day, followed by Athens (315), Wellsboro (340), North Penn-Mansfield (345), Cowanesque Valley (359), Wyalusing (367), Canton (394) and Sayre (400).
