Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Hornets got a late start and an early end as they throttled Troy 7-0 in NTL boys soccer play here Tuesday.
After an hour delay to the start of the match due to weather, Wellsboro proceeded to attack the Trojan goal and found the back of the net seven times in the first half.
The teams played 10 minutes of the second half before the game was called.
Liam Stevens and Maddon Mascho each finished with two goals and an assist in the win. Gabe Cuneo assisted on three scores while Mason Brill, Callen Novak and Fen Moyer had one goal apiece.
The Hornets had a 25-2 advantage in shots and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
Wellsboro (2-0) is at Towanda on Thursday.
