Northern Tier West Sports ReportTOWANDA — Wellsboro took on Towanda and fell in straight sets to the Lady Knights in an NTL volleyball match-up here Thursday.
Towanda won three straight sets .. 26-24, 25-19 and 25-15.
Peyton Keane finished with eight kills and eight digs for the Lady Hornets while Ellie Largey had 11 assists and seven service points with three aces.
Maddy Cruttenden had 10 digs and six points with two aces, Kendall Sweet had eight digs and five kills, Jillian Mickey had nine assists and six points, Ady Frantz had six kills and a block and Gena Fleming had three blocks.
Wellsboro will compete at the Tunkhannock Tournament on Saturday before returning to league play on Tuesday when they host Northeast Bradford.
