Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Hornets earned a pair of head-to-head wins Wednesday, beating both Jersey Shore and Cowanesque Valley in high school golf action.
Syler Pietrzyk shot a team-low 35 to lead Wellsboro, followed by Chase Butler with a 40, Jackson Largey with a 41, Ben Jackson with a 45 and Case Butler and Sam Jackson each shot 47’s.
Wellsboro scored a 161 to edge Jersey Shore (162) and top CV (179).
Danny Smith and Grant Hills each shot a 42 while Katie Huzey had a 47, Brent Watkins had a 48, Ashtyn Burdick shot a 49 and Dylan had a 58.
