Northern Tier West Sports ReportEAST TROY — Wellsboro matched a first half goal by Troy here Wednesday and played the Lady Trojans scoreless the rest of the way as they’ll settle for a 1-1 draw.
After Troy opened the scoring on a penalty kick, Wellsboro’s Haylie Smith tied the match at 1-all with a goal off a Luna Moyer assist at the 39:41 mark of the first half.
The teams played the rest of regulation and overtime scoreless while Troy held a 7-6 edge in shots-on-goal and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Keeper Jadyn Dunlap recorded six saves in net for the Hornets.
Wellsboro (3-1-1) is scheduled to return to action Saturday at 10 a.m. when they host Muncy.
