Northern Tier West Sports ReportJERSEY SHORE — Junior Gabe Cuneo and senior Mason Brill scored goals to help the Wellsboro Boys Soccer team pick up a 2-0 non-league shutout on the road at Jersey Shore on Saturday.
Cuneo struck with 8:39 remaining in the first half on a penalty kick, then Brill later scored at the midway point of the second half. Senior Kayden Rogers made five saves in goal for his first shutout of the season and the team's fifth.
The win is the Hornets' 3rd in the row and improves them to 6-1-1 (5-1 NTL). The team is back in action at Williamson on Monday.
