ROME — The Hornets got a pair of goals from Gabe Cuneo and beat the host Northeast Bradford Panthers 3-0 in an NTL match-up Wednesday.

Cuneo found the net off an assist from Dylan Tomlinson at the 22:37 mark of the first half to open the scoring. Jacob Smith took a pass from Mason Brill and scored eight minutes later to make it a 2-0 game at the break.

Cuneo added the Hornets’ third goal off an assist from Callen Novak with five and a half minutes remaining in the game.

Both teams had nine shots-on-goal while Wellsboro had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks and keeper Cam Bryant recorded eight saves in net for the Hornets.
