Cowanesque Valley senior Justin Scharr was a force defensively in the Indians’ 52-7 win over North Penn-Mansfield, racking up 11 tackles and two for a loss, including a sack.
Wellsboro senior Lauren Kosek earned a first place finish in the PIAA Foundation Class 2A Invitational at Big Spring High School in 18:08, beating the 2nd place finisher by 39 seconds. The race fielded 218 runners and was held on the new State Championship course.
North Penn-Liberty senior Madison Smith helped the Lady Mounties to a 3-0 week .. collecting 22 assists and six digs in a sweep of South Williamsport, 16 assists and four digs in a sweep of Northeast Bradford and 21 assists and three digs in a sweep of Jersey Shore.
